All joking aside, it is truly exciting for us to see that level of expertise acknowledged by the greater community. That’s why we’re thrilled that Whitney Kellet, CIO of Aqua America, has been named among the finalists for the 2019 Philadelphia CIO of the Year® ORBIE® Awards.

The CIO ORBIE Awards is the premier technology executive recognition program in Philadelphia, established and run by The Philadelphia CIO Leadership Association (PhillyCIO), the preeminent professional association for chief information officers in Philadelphia. For over 20 years, the CIO ORBIE Awards have recognized technology executives who represent the characteristics and qualities that motivate others to achieve their potential.

Whitney certainly fits the bill! Our team has been inspired by her vision, leadership, and out-of-the-box thinking as we have worked together to transform Aqua’s six legacy HRIS systems into a single, robust platform.

The award categories represent a spectrum of companies, including Global, Large Enterprise, Enterprise, Corporate, and Healthcare. Finalists and winners are selected by a rigorous, independent peer review process, led by prior ORBIE recipients – which includes another familiar face and Navigate client Tom Murphy, CIO of University of Pennsylvania and 2018 award winner in the Non-Profit category.

The 2019 Philadelphia CIO of the Year ORBIE Awards will take place on October 18th at the Philadelphia Marriott Downtown. We’ll be there rooting for Whitney in the Large Enterprise category and cheering on the full line-up of finalists, who deserve the recognition and applause.
